Installing acoustical wallcovering at Mt. Hood Community College during it's 2005 remodel.
Here's how the material arrives at the job site. This acoustical wallcovering cannot be machine pasted. Doing so would cause the adhesive to ooze through the surface. It was dry hung by pasting the walls with heavy duty clay adhesive.
A special trimming tool is required to remove the selvedge from each side of the material. It is important to trim between the ribs without allowing the trimmer to skip.
This remodel required removal of the old wallcovering & priming with Gardz.
Attention to detail makes the difference.
You've seen these acoustic wallcoverings at movie theatres. It is also used in convention centers, hospitals, churches, etc.
