This month we installed a mural
at Rodda's Paint Factory in the upstairs lounge. Todd Imholte,
President of Environmental Graphics generously donated this
mural which is Hole #7 at Pebble Beach, CA. You can purchase
these beautiful murals through your local wallpaper store. Visit

| Shannon & Peter inspect all
panels and arrange their order. We installed the bottom row
first then the top. |

|
 |
The ceiling line was not level,
so we engineered the installation to allow for trimming away
a bit of the blue sky.
Here we see Jerry installing the 2nd panel on the top row. |
We primed the wall with Gardz®,
then used a 4' level to draw our cross hairs (level & plumb
lines) on the middle of the wall.
Starting in the middle of each row and using the cross hairs
as a guide is much easier than trying to install from left to
right. |
 |
| We used the infamous "Wet/Dry Hanging
System". Roman® PRO 880 was rolled onto the wall, then
we wet the back of each panel. You can use a small sprayer,
sponge, roller or brush. The trick is to get the back side wet
without creating puddles of water. This allows the panels to
expand before going to the wall. We rolled up the panels with
the back side out. Then it was easy to unroll on the wall and
align the pattern match. This keeps paste off the front side
of the mural. |

| A Masterpiece!
Everyone at Rodda loves the mural and it has been getting rave
reviews. We were very happy to give it a permanent home. |

|
We overlapped our seams slightly for
a better pattern match and used VOV to prevent them from lifting.
This made our seams look wet in the above photo, but they dried
over night.
Special thanks to Jan Barney for filling in as Staff Duty Photographer.
"Other murals crinkle and lose colors while you're handling
them, seem to turn into wet tissue paper after pasting, & tear
while you're trying to trim them. Environmental Graphics® murals
are more durable and less susceptible to damage during installation
than other brands. Therefore, I highly recommend Environmental Graphics®
murals to anyone who desires the best looking murals on their walls."
